Gary E. May Peace Scholarship

AWARD & NOTIFICATION

Each year, Veterans For Peace Chapter 104 awards one $1000 scholarship to a student for their submission
supporting the cause of peace. If your submission is chosen to receive an award,
our representative will notify you on or before Armistice Day (November 11).

WHO MAY APPLY

Eligibility extends to:
1) High school seniors in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey and Gibson Counties in Indiana.
2) College students enrolled at the University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville,
Oakland City University, and Ivy Tech Southwest.

HOW TO APPLY

The application with submission requirements is published on this website (vfpevansville.org)
the first week in September. It is also available from your school’s scholarship counselor and/or office of financial aid.

DISCRETIONARY AWARD

Veterans For Peace presents the award to the student in the form of a check for $1000.
The money is to be used at the student’s discretion for any purchases he or she sees fit.
